The ingredients needed to cook Ladd’s Thanksgiving Stuffing:
- Prepare 6 cups Stove Top stuffing (chicken herb or everyday)
- Provide 3 cups chicken broth
- Use 1 packet chicken Demi-glacé
- Prepare 2 Tbsp heavy cream
- Get 6 Tbsp butter
- Take 4 strips bacon
- You need 20 pepperoni slices
- Prepare 1/4 cup chopped celery
- Use 1/4 cup chopped onion
- Use 1/4 cup finely chopped carrots
- Prepare 1 large minced garlic clove
- Take 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- You need 1 tsp Sriracha seasoning
- Get to taste Salt and pepper
- Use 1/4 tsp rosemary
- Take 1/4 tsp Thyme
- Get 1/4 tsp poultry seasoning
- Use 1/4 cup Wegmans 4 cheese blend
Steps to make Ladd’s Thanksgiving Stuffing:
- In a large sauce pan cook pepperoni until crisp. Remove pepperoni to paper towel to drain. Add bacon and cook until crisp. Remove bacon to paper towel to drain. Add butter, onions, celery, carrots, rosemary, thyme, poultry seasoning, Sriracha seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook until vegetables are tender. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add chicken broth, demi-glace, heavy cream and lemon to pan and cook until demi-glace is dissolved. Bring pan to a boil for one minute and add stuffing mix. Stir gently with a fork, turn off heat and let sit for five minutes. Add bacon and pepperoni crumbled to the stuffing.
- For stuffing in a bird: Heat stuffing if you made it in advance. Make sure it is very hot. Add cheese to stuffing a spoon stuffing into bird and tie legs to prevent stuffing from coming out. Put any remaining stuffing in the back end of the bird. Roast bird.
- For cooking in an oven: Butter generously a baking pan. Mix cheese into stuffing and place in baking pan. Cut 4 Tbsp butter into small cubes and place on top of stuffing. Add additional 4 cheese blend, to your preference, to the top of the stuffing. Preheat oven to 350. Cover pan with foil and cook for 10 minutes. Remove foil and cook 10 more minutes until browned. If stuffing appears dry you can add warmed chicken broth.
