  1. Get 2 lbs or 1 kg fresh fava beans unshelled (OR 12 oz, 350 g shelled)
  2. You need 3 cloves garlic
  3. Prepare 2 springs fresh rosemary, or equivalent dried
  4. You need 1 tsp salt
  5. Take 4 Tbsp olive oil
  6. You need 1/4 cup water

  1. Shell about 1kg or 2lbs of fava beans (to be precise, I had 36 pods). It ends up being around 340g/12oz after shelling. Feel free to use pre-shelled beans.
