The ingredients needed to prepare Homemade Oil Sardines:
  1. You need 200 grams Japanese sardines
  2. Use 2 clove Garlic
  3. You need 10 peppercorns Pepper
  4. Prepare 2 Red chili pepper
  5. Use 2 sprigs Rosemary
  6. Use 3 Bay leaf
Steps to make Homemade Oil Sardines:
  1. Prepare the sardines. If they are small, you only have to remove the head, tail, and scales. The ones shown in the photo above were filleted.
  2. Soak the sardines from Step 1 in the salted water for 2 hours.
  3. Remove the seeds from the chili pepper, before slicing it into thin rounds. Slice the garlic. Crush the pepper pods.
  4. Remove the sardines in Step 2 from the water and pat dry with a paper towel.
  5. Add Steps 3 + 4 to a pot and pour in the olive oil until the sardines are covered.
  6. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes. Cook over low heat so that the sardines don't move around.
