The ingredients needed to cook Crispy Veg:
- Use 1 closed small pack Mushroom, cut into halves or fourths
- Take 1/2 Green Bell Pepper, medium diced
- Prepare 1 cup cauliflower florets
- You need 1 Onion medium, diced and layers separated
- Take 1 tablespoon Garlic, finely chopped
- You need 1 teaspoon Ginger, paste or grated
- Use 3 stalks Spring Onion Whites
- Get stalks Spring Onion Greens, sliced
- You need 1/2 tablespoon Soya sauce
- You need 1/2 tablespoon Red Chilli paste or 1 ½ tablespoon Chilli Sauce
- Get 1 tablespoon Tomato sauce
- Prepare 1 tablespoon Vinegar
- You need 1/2 teaspoon crushed Black pepper
- You need 1/2 teaspoon Sugar (Optional)
- Prepare to taste Salt
- Use 1/2 cup Cornflour
- Prepare 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
- Prepare Water as required
- Prepare Oil for cooking
Steps to make Crispy Veg:
- In a mixing bowl take corn flour and all-purpose flour, ginger garlic paste, Black Pepper powder, salt and sugar.
- Mix all the Ingredients and add little water at a time and mix it. Make a smooth and lumps free liquidy batter. I have used little less than 1/2 cup of water for the batter.
- Add all the cut vegetables into the batter and coat it nicely.
- At the same time, put a pan on Stove and add enough Oil to deep fry the mushrooms.
- Once the Oil is hot, add the coated vegetables into the pan and fry them in medium flame.
- After 2-3 minutes turn them with the help of a turner.
- Fry them evenly till golden brown. - Transfer the fried vegetables on a tissue lined plate.
- Take the excess oil out of the pan or add 1 ½ tablespoons of oil into a different pan.
- Add chopped garlic, spring onions to it and saute on a high flame.
- Add soy sauce, tomato sauce and chilli sauce, salt to taste to it.
- Combine the sauces well and add fried vegetables to it.
- Coat the vegetables into the sauce and turn off the flame.
- Crispy veg is ready to serve. Garnish with green onion sprig or freshly chopped cilantro.
