- Get 200 Grams Flour
- Get 175 Grams Butter
- Take 85 Grams Honey
- Prepare 85 Grams Caster Sugar
- Prepare 85 Grams Almonds , ground
- Get 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- Take 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- You need 100 Grams Yogurt
- You need 1 Egg yolk
- You need 2 Egg white
- Provide 1 Egg , whole
- Provide 85 Grams Almond cashewnut / , flaked
- Use 4 Tablespoons Honey
Steps to make Honey Almond Cake:
- Preheat the oven to 180C. Grease and line the cake tin.
- Put Honey, Butter, Caster Sugar, Ground almonds, Flour, Baking powder, Baking soda and Yogurt into a mixing bowl.
- Put the egg whites in another bowl. Whisk the whites till they are stiff.
- Put the yolk and one whole egg along with ingredients in Step 2 and beat until smooth.
- Stir in a third of the egg whites, then gently fold it to the mixture with a spatula.
- Put the mixture in the cake tin. Level the batter with a spatula.
- Scatter over the Ground Almonds or Cashwenuts.
- Bake the cake for 55 min or as per the cake tin you use. Perform the skewer test (skewer inserted comes out clean).
- Remove the cake from oven, drizzle 2 Tablespoon Honey and scatter a pinch of salt. Put back in oven for 5 min. Remove from oven, drizzle with 2 tablespoon more of Honey.
